Under Win2K, both WinHugs and XEmacs (with Haskell mode) fail to interpret '\r' in HUnit's output
as carridge return. As the result they display all updates of the progress line stringed together and
separated by ^M character.

A sequence of dots with occasional 'E's and 'F's for errors and failures (as used by PyUnit, for
exaple) would be a more portable progress indicator.
