Yahoo mail gives now 100 MB mailbox like Spymac and Gmail.
I can only use their webmail function is it possible that httpmail
gets the mail for me in my email client?

Yahoo does not implement any protocol to retrieve your e-mail inside a
mail program (like Apple Mail). I think you need to pay to get POP access,
and then you would not need any plugin to get yout mail.
In contrast, older Hotmail users have access to the HTTPMail protocol to
access their account, which lets mail software talk to the Hotmail servers.
BTW, "GMail uses some weird port" : It uses a wierd port to get around
some ISP restrictions if I well remember. I don"t believe that "a wierd port"
is any good reason to not use something...

This would definately be great! Yahoo and Gmail are among some of the
best and HTTPMail-Plugin would certainly benefit from these services.

I use POP to download the mail from Yahoo. GMail uses some weird port
so I don't download it. I use the Webmail for sending and Gmail.

This is unlikely in my opinion.
