[Htmlvalidator-help] Just wondering...

Hi,

On the download page[1], the latest and greatest is 0.844 for Linux. I
have to compile the extension myself for OpenBSD, but the source
package is only at 0.843, why ?

By the way is there any OpenBSD user right here interested by running
this extension with native OpenBSD Firefox ? I can provide a method to
build the extension (need cleanup, but it works) or binary xpi at your
convenience.

The main reason is that my life is currently a never ending story of 
running in all directions
It is fun, but in short, I had no enough time to spend on the extension 
in the last weeks :-)

Anyway, when I have read your post in the forum, I knew already that 
there is a problem with the version 0.844.
There was a XPCOM change introduced in Firefox 3 beta 4. Due to it, the 
part of the extension in C would need to be recompiled on all
platforms to work with the final Firefox 3. That is why I spent my time 
doing the 0.845 version.

I can put the version 0.844 but if you have understood, it will not work 
with the final Firefox 3.
If you have a version 0.845, do not hesitate to mail me directly and I 
will put it on the site.

Hi Marc,

Sure I understand : I didn't want the 0.844 specifically, I was just
wondering why the sources where at 0.843 while the Linux version was at
0.844 ;)

I am currently running a snapshot of OpenBSD 4.3, but when the final
OpenBSD 4.3 will be available I will build a XPI of your extension and
send it to you.
