Please open a feature request on sourceforge so this doesn't get lost 
and I'll see if I can get it in on the weekend.  It's unlikely I'll have 
time before then.

You could call submit() on the form directly.  It wouldn't execute 
onclick handlers (if any) but it would do the other behaviour.
