There is no support for SGML character entites,
& < > ε τ etc.

I have tried modifying the @specials list, but unfortunately, I find that entities starting with '&', as with <i>τ</i>, come out of TreeBuilder badly mangled.
But for that, supporting these shouldn't be hard. Might have to \ensuremath.

Yes, in TreeBuilder the tau and epsilon come out mangled. So, what you have to choose from is support for them or a funny mixture of an I with an umlaut over it or an I with an accent over it followed by a mu. Beats me. I'll be shipping 1.2 with support for tau and epsilon. Let me know if you need the I with the umlaut. I appologize.
