[htmltmpl] Problems with Special characters

Hi,

I am using HTML-Template not only HTML, but also for RTF templates. It works=
 great, but I
have problems with variables that contain special characters like =E4 =FC =F6 and=
 the like. 
Instead of an =E4, html template would insert a few cryptic characters which=
 seem completely 
unrelated. For HTML this is of course no problem since I would replace =E4=
 with ä , but 
for RTF documents this would only lead to more cryptic output. 

Do you have any idea how to circumvent this problem?
