I also find the general ignorance of HTML::Template's existence 
surprising.  HTML::Template's caching options in particular are more 
advanced than several other template solutions I'm aware of, yet somehow 
they seem to have more 'mindshare.'

And yes, IMHO HTML::Template is nearly perfect!
