I ran across this a few weeks ago, and posted it here.  No patches yet
(that I've noticed, anyway), but I figured out a workaround.  The
variables exist in the inner loop if they're *used* in the outer loop.  So
if you put them inside a comment in the outer loop, you're more or less
okay.
