[htdig-dev] building htdig-3.2.0_beta6 on amd64

Dear htdig devs,

I'm one of the Gentoo maintainers of htdig. We have recently received a
bug report [1] that may be of interest to you. The bug has to do with
building htdig on AMD64 and necessary -fPIC -DPIC. Please take a look
and advise.
