The diagnostics only appear if compression is enabled.

It takes over 24 hours (which becoems two days...) for the whole dig,=20
and I'll try to find a smaller data set that causes the problem.  In=20
the mean time, are there any other tests I can do to try to track it=20
down?  For example, is it possible to decompress the file offline to=20
compare it against the uncompressed one?
