[htdig-dev] Mifluz merge 10-10-2002

I posted another mifluz merge snapshot. Conveniently, it was posted
October 10th, so both Europeans and Americans can agree on the date
format. ;-)

This release fixes some compilation problems on RH 8.0 (i.e. gcc-3.2) and
should be quite stable.

OTOH, it's also still slower than the current 3.2.0b4 snapshot. Profiling
data will come in another e-mail.

Usual disclaimers apply. This merge requires some form of iconv call,
either from libc or the libiconv (which seems fairly portable).
