No, I'm trying to figure out whether there are problems in the build 
environment--I've been running from the build directories. With libtool, 
it's not quite the same as when you do a full install. It *should* be, 
but...

In any case, I'm working on your segfaults as well as some I seem to 
get. As I said, I'll be updating this as I can and I'll try to get a 
fairly stable version out in a day or two. Anyone who wants to help with 
the coding/debugging process should let me know.
