Interesting idea, but there's no way the default would be set to anything
that would activate this.  If we did that, then by default htnotify
(and therefore rundig) would send out e-mail notices for all documents
that haven't been updated in about 6 months.  Do you really think the
average htdig user would want this by default?

Again, an interesting idea.  Good items for a wish list, but not for
3.1.6 IMHO.  At least, neither Geoff nor I would likely have the time
or inclination to implement this ourselves, and we're not holding up
its release for any wish list items that can't be done in short order.
So, if you can find someone to implement these in the next couple weeks
and submit them to us, I'd certainly consider them, but otherwise they'll
just go on a wish list for 3.2.
