These are two issues.
1) Snapshot problem--turns out that SF decided to invalidate my SSH key
recently. So the scripts were failing because it was asking for my
password... Should be fixed now.

2) Autoconf: The snapshots come from CVS, which doesn't necessarily
preserve dates. So often configure is older than configure.in from the CVS
copy. Not much we can do about this, except make a real "pre-release" or
"release" version where everything is checked.
