A ten-year old config file does not fill me with confidence. > database_dir: /webdocs/htdig/db The location that the ftp server tells you it's putting files into is not necessarily the file structure that htdig is working in. There's a lot of faking going on -- particularly with ftp -- to keep outsiders from wreaking havoc. If your webserver machine is shared with other websites things can get very complicated about where files go. Hmmm, Netcraft can't identify the OS at www.aoweb.com, which is unusual... The server software is Apache, but no revision, also unusual :-(( You need to tell us exactly which vendor and what revision level of Un*x you have there. For example, all the Linuxes I've seen in about the last 4 years put the web pages in /var/www, but I know Solaris is different, although I can't remember what it does (somewhere in /opt probably), and if you've got AIX or HPUX all bets^W^W you need specialised help. (And if you've got a SCO Unix then no-one will ever help you again.) Mike -- Mike Causer Email - mailto:mi...@mi...
