A (rather quick) question, how do you get ref numbers, let's say birthdays,
to be found by htdig.
So far writing 18/12/65 is not the same as 18 12 65 or 18-12-65.
As several people are entering this kind of strings on my server, I need to
tel them if there is only one way of doing it or (better) I'd like to
configure htdig so they do not have to bother...
Any ideas ?

Actually with the default config I belive 18/12/65 and 18-12-65 should be
the same. Both '/' and '-' are in the default valid_punctuation attribute,
which means they should be dropped, leaving 181265 both for indexing and
The case with space delimiters is more complicated because there is
nothing to indicate that the three terms belong together. You would
probably need to use some sort of custom wrapper to handle this case.
