Glad to hear that option 2 worked for you - I believe this can be problematic on some architectures.

As for option 1, you need to look at http://www.htdig.org/attrs.html#url_part_aliases  and probably at:  http://www.htdig.org/attrs.html#url_rewrite_rules

http://www.htdig.org/attrs.html#server_aliases  may also be relevant.

Mike

Subject: [htdig] Re: htdig-general digest, Vol 1 #1800 - 2 msgs

1) When I try index through http://localhost I get the results also in http://localhost , If I go for this option, is there anyway in which we can change url http://localhost to http://www.mydomain.com/ else I will write a script which will get the results in XML, and change all localhost URLs, to mydomain.com.

2) I tried indexing all the pages on other server where I have privilages and then uploaded the db files on the production server, and it works. Thanks :)
