1) There should be no need to modify -- what
did you change? What is the value of your
"valid_extensions" attribute? If it is not empty, it
should include .php

2) Does it return the pages you expect, but with .html
replacing .php? If not, what are the .html files?

3) Please send your htdig.conf file so that we can try
to replicate your bug. (Did you set the "start_url" to
point to your site?)

4) I believe that robots.txt, if present, has to be at the
root. If it is not present, then the whole site should be
