Many links on the news-page look like "http://www.htdig.org/files/where.html>", i.e. there is an obsolete trailing '>' which breaks the link.
The messages in the news page are from e-mail, where IIRC, the <> around a URL is standard. So I'd say that this indicates a bug in the SF URL-recognition code. (See for example that ht://Dig becomes a "link.")
However, there is an easy workaround.
