May I ask why you chose Base64? Base64 is simply a way of encoding binary data to be used in ASCII only media, and has nothing to do with encryption. You'd be better off using GPG or similar if you're just transferring files. If you want to encrypt the files "live" as the database uses them, then I'm not sure there is a way to do it without some significant code change at the file access layer. -- Craig Andrews <cr...@si...> |
