The latest published version in Maven repo is 2.0.0
Why not just use maven as the default download location. That way, you don't need to publish to multiple spots, and we can further reinforce maven as the definitive dependency distribution mechanism.
Maven is not as transparent or advanced as SourceForge. SourceForge has many download mirros across the world and shows excellent public statistics on downloads.
This is no longer the case. See http://www.sonatype.com/people/2010/12/now-available-central-download-statistics-for-oss-projects/
Anyway I don't think we need to get caught up on where hsqldb downloads are hosted from. We *do* need the Maven artifacts to be updated at the same time as Sourceforge though...
Also, please publish source-code and javadoc alongside the binaries, otherwise we don't get code-complete and debug support in IDEs.
https://docs.sonatype.org/display/Repository/Sonatype+OSS+Maven+Repository+Usage+Guide explains how to simplify the process.
We may add the javadoc, also the debug jars. I'm not yet sure about source code.
AFAIK Maven statistics are not public. Click on Develop->Project Statistics on the memnu above, or the DownloadStats (Beta) (when it is working) to see what I mean about sourceforge..
Version 2.2.4 is now on Maven in this directory:
This is great :)
