Hello, I am must use hsqldb version 1.8. Is there any way to turn off logging when doing massive numbers of inserts? Any way to increase performance beside prepared batch statements, and turning off commits?
All the options for 1.8 are listed in its Guide. There is no option to turn off logging in a normal database. There are options to increase the cache size. If the tables are MEMORY, then you can use the files_readonly option.
Don't turn off commits. Commit every few thousand rows. Otherwise a lot of memory is used, which could slow things down.
