#2 Create .dylib shared lib for MacOSX build

Hello,
Awesome project!
Would you be able to incorporate from-source building for MacOSX?
I've created a patch to make the Makefile produce a ".dylib" instead of a ".so" shared lib: https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew/commit/f80934aed8053cda595fce2e6bc468d60cb5caaf
Although it doesn't detect macosx, simply creates a dylib.
