  Funny that this very same thing was discussed on debian-user a
  couple of weeks ago. I got (network) printing working yesterday in
  about 5 minutes. Here's the magic fairy dust:

    http://localhost:631/admin/

  There's an additional package called cupsomatic-ppd with some
  additional PostScript Printer Descriptions.
