It works fine for me, David. I had eight xojpanels running at the same time, 
each showing the lcd contents of my parport connected 600.

As the number of simultaneous instances increased, scrolling slowed for all 
to the point where it seemed very slow. Would that be related to the 
"blocking api" ?
