Upgrading the system would certainly solve the problem, but I'd like to try to make it work if possible. A RedHat 5.2 system, although somewhat old nowadays, isn't IMO inherently broken if it meets the user's needs, but of course security updates should still be applied. In the long run I'd like to make the hpoj software work on as many platforms as possible.
