Hi, Gerard.  Broader scanning support is on my to-do list, but first I need
to finish developing the low-level support (namely PML) needed to scan on
the class of peripherals that includes the OfficeJet T series.  A month or
so ago James Klicman started writing a simple PML-scanning program, but he
ran into problems due to bugs in the kernel-mode I/O drivers (ieee12844*.o),
which I'm working on replacing with a user-mode driver (ptal-mlcd).  At the
moment there isn't really any work I can delegate, but you're certainly
welcome to help test printing at least with ptal-mlcd, which is checked into
CVS.
