Hi, Harald. I'm CCing this to the hpoj-devel mailing list, because other people may have the same questions. By "partial support" for scanning on the K series, I mean that it works, but there's a very specific set of steps the user must take in order to scan successfully, or else it won't work. These steps are documented in the patch to the SANE HP backend manual page included with hpoj-0.6, but basically you: - load the document(s) into the ADF, - click "change document", - scan (preview or otherwise), - click "cancel" when it scans to the bottom of the page (it will sit there trying to read more data until you do), - click "change document" and repeat if there is another page to scan, or - click "unload" if there are no more documents. In a future version I plan to make this easier to use, as well as support scanning from more models. Faxing to or from the PC is not supported yet, but it will be in the future. (Likewise for PC-assisted copying.) However, note that not all fax-capable models support PC faxing, and some models (particularly the newer ones) support sending faxes from the PC but not receiving faxes to the PC. In the meantime, depending on what model you have you may be able to send or receive faxes in a standalone fashion without help from the PC.
