Introducing HPLIP
Hewlett-Packard is proud to announce the introduction of HP Linux
Imaging and Printing System (HPLIP). HPLIP is a complete single and
multi-function printing device connectivity solution for users of Linux
OS. The goal of this project is to provide =B4radically simple=A1 printing,
scanning, photo card access, and device management to the consumer and
business Linux user.
HPLIP brings new and improved benefits to the customer. Supported
features include capabilities such as:
* alignment and cleaning of cartridges and basic supply status

* flatbed and Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) scanning via SANE
applications (e.g., XSane)
