In addition to the changes listed below, the hpinkjet driver is now officially Free software (BSD-like license), now that the "for use with HP products only" restriction has been removed. David -----Original Message----- From: David Suffield [mailto:dav...@hp...] Sent: Tuesday, February 19, 2002 3:24 PM To: hpi...@li...; Ink...@li... Subject: [Hpinkjet-announce] HP Inkjet Linux Driver 1.0.3 Release The HP Inkjet Linux Driver (HPIJS) now supports AFPL Ghostscript 7.04 and GNU Ghostscript 6.53. HPIJS is now compatible with the IJS client that comes with Ghostscript. This means the IJS client (gdevijs.c) included with HPIJS 1.0.2 is no longer needed. This release is compatible with IJS 0.33. In order to be compliant with IJS 0.33, the following Ghostscript commands have changed from HPIJS 1.0.2. 1. The Duplex command has changed from -dDuplex=n to a combination of -dDuplex and -dTumble. 2. HPIJS print mode parameters must use the "Quality:" prefix. The prefix will allow better management of parameter namespace. Ghostscript commands without the "Quality:" prefex are no longer supported. 3. The new Ghostscript command -dIjsUseOutputFD is required when using HPIJS. This release is still backward compatible with the HPIJS 0.97 interface. See hpinkjet.sourceforge.net and the hpijs_readme.html file for more information. _______________________________________________ Hpinkjet-announce mailing list Hpi...@li... https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/hpinkjet-announce |
