An RPM exists for fc4 which works, but I had trouble with hpssd.py crashing until I partially disabled selinux. ]# su (give root password) ]# yum install hplip If hpssd crashes, edit /etc/sysconfig/selinux and change: #SELINUX=Enforcing SELINUX=Permissive I would prefer to have selinux fully enabled.
