Hi Ron,

I'm the Debian GNU/Linux maintainer for hpoj and I have a HP PSC 1215, which I 
think is very close to the 1210 as I am using the 1210 drivers!

I can assure you that scanning and printing do work at the same time.  The 
Debian packages have all the enhancements from the CVS version.

Can you confirm which version of hpoj you have installed via debian?  
	`dpkg -l hpoj`

Also please confirm that hpoj isn't commented out of /etc/sane.d/dll.conf, 
that should be automatic, but you never know.

You should be using version 0.91 if you got it from sarge. Not 0.9 which is an 
older version.

No you don't need to do that.
