Hi, I'm running debian unstable, and installed the 0.8.7 version of hplip. I had been using hpoj to print and scan with my officjet k80xi. I followed the hplip installation instructions, and "prepared the linux environment" and then used apt-get to install hplip. Installation went smoothly, and I used cups to configure the printer. (apt-get removed hpoj before installing hplip). But when I try to print, whether from it's a cups test page or a test page from hplip's toolbox, printing fails. Can't scan either. I've noticed at least one other post in the hplip forums from another officejet k80 user who appears to have the same problem. I'd be grateful for any advice. (I've had to go back to using hpoj for now. ) Tim |
