=20 Is this an RPM or source? Also be sure to uncomment /etc/sane/dll.conf #hpoj at the bottom. HPIJS is for printing only. Hpoj allows access to the other features. Subject: [hpoj-devel] scanning trouble - device not detected I just installed a fresh clean 0.91 on Redhat Enterprise WS 3.0 (after removing what Redhat provided me with - which worked fine except didn't allow scanning). Now I have printing configured, but again I'm stumped by scanning.=20 scanimage --list-devices reports nothing. Same with specifying: scanimage -d hpoj:mlc:usb:HP_LaserJet_3330 --test scanimage: open of device hpoj:mlc:usb:HP_LaserJet_3330 failed: Invalid argument I walked through the "Scanning details and troubleshooting" page trying everything including commenting "hp" out of /etc/sane.d/dll.conf and making sure that /etc/sane.d/hp.conf didn't contain any "ptal" entries (it didn't). No change. Any suggestions? I also have a spearate question - I see that HPOJ is now being managed by HP under the HPIJS project. Does that mean we will still be seeing future releases of HPOJ software? I downloaded the HPIJS software and it doesn't even deal with my device (HP Laserjet 3330mfp) or indeed any of the Laserjet devices, nor does it seem to handle any of the extra functionality like scanning or photo card access.
