Hi I had the same problem and solved it as follows: 1) remove all printers from cups 2) shut down cups 3) run ptal-init setup and follow the instructions 4) restart cups 5) go to localhost:631 with konqueror (this is the CUPS admin location) and choose "install new printer" 6) when queried for the source, your printer should appear under ptal devie WITH its name !
