Use hpijs to print instead of hpoj. If you're running KDE, try and add a printer via the configuration tools Make sure you start a CUPS daemon. You may need to apt-get install hpijs KDE control center Peripherals Printer Switch to Administrator mode Change the print system to CUPS Add Add Printer/Class follow the wizard I'm glad you got the scanner working. I can't get my PSC 1210 to scan, but I can get it to print. ;) > > From: Neil Marsh <sys...@sa...> > Date: 2004/06/22 Tue AM 02:17:09 EDT > To: hpo...@li... > Subject: [hpoj-devel] Re: Can't print to HP PSC 1210 from HP Omnibook 4150 running Knoppix > > Update: > Scanning works fine with xsane. > > I removed & recompiled hpijs from source; > removed & reinstalled cups (using apt-get); > neither of these helped. > > -- > Neil Marsh > Home Hardware Building Centre > Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan > (306) 236-4467 > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email sponsored by Black Hat Briefings & Training. > Attend Black Hat Briefings & Training, Las Vegas July 24-29 - > digital self defense, top technical experts, no vendor pitches, > unmatched networking opportunities.
