Hi - Been searching around (this list, HP's site, Usenet) and am not getting anywhere. My setup: HP OfficeJet 6110 MFP (USB) cups-1.1.20-r1 hpoj-0.91-r3 hpijs-1.5 kernel 2.6 (gentoo; devfsd-1.3.25-r6) AMD 1.6GHz, 768M RAM, 1G swap Whether I'm printing or scanning my system grinds to a halt (practically) during the entire time until the printed document is spit out - something is definitely out of whack. Other than that everything works fine. I also use jpilot to sync my PDA via USB and have no noticeable problems so don't necessarily know if this is a USB-related problem. I use ~/.toprc to set top to a frequent update and AFAICT I don't see anything hogging CUP/MEM. I don't know what other info to provide but can someone tell me if there's some cfg I'm missing? Or if something (known) is broken? I normally load all USB/print/scan as modules but tried compiling into kernel with no improvement. Mike -- mai...@ve... |
