[hpoj-devel] how do i build rpm from the cvs source tree?

Hi,

In an attempt to get both scanning and printing
working on an HP PSC 1210, I am trying to follow the
instructions  here
(http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=HP-PSC_1210
that indicate I need to download the latest source
from CVS.

Is there a way that I can build an RPM from this
source that can be distributed to fedora core 1 linux
installations that do not have the full development
environment installed?

My current understanding is that the make install
option is the only way to install from this source.
