Has anyone been able to print using the OfficeJet 5510? I went through the steps to get the printer working on Mandrake/CUPs, and I can now scan using the device but any time I try and send a test page nothing happens (no errors and no response from the printer) Here is the output of some of the ptal utils: # ptal-hp mlc:usb:officejet_5500_series device Model name: officejet 5500 series Model number: Q3435A Serial number: MY438F211D96 Firmware version: R0036xxNx Firmware datecode: (unavailable) # ptal-devid MFG:hp;MDL:officejet 5500 series;CMD:LDL,MLC,PML,DYN;CLS:PRINTER;1284.4DL:4d,4e,1;SN:MY438F211D96;S:0380008000020020002c148005ac2500060;Z:007; # ptal-print mlc:usb:officejet_5500_series < /dev/null ptal-print: connecting to device "mlc:usb:officejet_5500_series"... successful. # ptal-connect mlc:usb:officejet_5500_series -service ECHO (works as expected) - Setting the clock using ptal-hp works. - Viewing the display using ptal-hp does not work. - I can scan. I can't print. I have been able to print using a coupl other printers through my CUPS install so I know that should work. any ideas? Thanks, Enrico |
