[hpoj-devel] Still having problems with ptal-init & G55...

Hello, I am truly sorry to raise this problem again.

	Unfortunately I am still not able to use my G55 on a USB port,
even after having tried some of the solutions discussed in previous  
posts.

I have installed on my Mandrake system:

 - kernel 2.6.5 (custom compiled because of the dpt_i2o module which is
		still missing in Mandrake 10.0 distribution)
 - hpoj-0.91-4mdk (0.91-4mdk has the patch for 2.6.x installed)
 - libhpojip0-0.91-4.mdk
 - libhpojip0-devel-0.91-4.mdk
 - libsane-hpoj1-0.91-4.mdk
 - libusb0.1_4-0.1.7-1mdk
 - libusb0.1_4-devel-0.1.7-1mdk

I also added a symlink as suggested in a previous post
on the subject, so I have:

/dev/ptal-mlcd -> /var/run/ptal-mlcd/
/dev/ptal-printd -> /var/run/ptal-printd/

While the G55 is nicely seen by the usb utilities, ptal-init finds it
but it goes in time out.. and so it does not allow to configure the  
G55.

The only errors I found in syslog are given by devfsd (I have
devfsd-1.3.25-37mdk).

I acclude some logs below.

I am just a typical user with no more clues about, so is there
any suggestion for further action/patches/tricks ???

ptal-init finds the G55 but then it goes into time-out and
does not configure the device
