And you addressed the ... part, but not this part.  Later, in a different
thread, you made mention that the next hpoj version would be
desktop-neutral, which circumspectly addresses the question(s) above.

There have been recurring questions along this line over the last few
months.

Are you able to discourse a little on the topic of hpoj's future and
HP's level of continued interest?  If you could, believe this would serve
a couple purposes:

(a)  Keep the interest of those who may be interested in contributing.
(b)  Keep the faith of those who may be running across hpoj for the first
     time via the list, and be considering getting/using an HP device
     with linux, but likewise be concerned by seeing such questions being
     asked and not necessarily answered.

Also, if you could, possibly address the other question about "no new
news", which is another indicator people look at when deciding on
hardware and software solutions.
