The printer is correctly seen by ptal-XXX.
If I try to print nothing happens, but if remove the usblp kernel module
printing starts but hangs almost immediately.
ptal-init-setup :
Found "psc 2400 series"
with serial number "MY47MM22XH6T".
This device is already set up as "mlc:usb:psc_2400_series".
in syslog :

Sorry for the noise : I solved the problem by switching to HPLIP and creating usb devices ( with "MAKEDEV usb" ). I would try HPLIP instead of HPOJ. See hpinkjet.sf.net.
