The kernel is : 2.4.20-8d (default installation kernel)
The configure/make/make install cycle for both hpoj and hpijs report no
errors.
I have tried printing via cups/hpijs and this seems to work OK.
A side issue which probably doesn't help (but puzzles me nonetheless):
I can't seem to print to the same printer (connected to a windows PC) via
samba - the printer seems to initalise, but then the on light remains
flashing, nothing comes out of the printer. The only option is to turn the
printer off and then the PC displays an error message "Data Error (cyclic
redundancy check)". I don't know if this is a problem with my hpijs setup
or if it's a samba issue.
Thanks
john
