[hpoj-devel] hp1100a

i would like to reconfigure my hp1100a for scanning ... our printing is
fine(except for the long delay in printing.. )

would printing be affected if i will reconfigure the ptal-init setup???
or any configs... because i think i screw up my printing.. or is it
another thing..???

No, i gave up about 4 months ago attempting to get hpoj stable on my 
box.  I tried on RH8 and Fedora Core 1, neither of which i could get 
sane to see the scanner, and the printing was very unstable.  (the 
printer would lockup, needing a power reset, and restart of hpoj)  I've 
gone back to standard cups and using it as a printer/copier.  Been rock 
solid since. (but no scanning)

Normally you should be able to get scanning to work if you uncomment the
'hpoj' line in /etc/sane.d/dll.conf.

No more than that. The hpoj software is responsible for the
communication between the hpoj device and your box, the entry in
/etc/sane.d/dll.conf is for telling sane which kind of scanner is there.

i forgot to mention that this scanner work fine before... but just a
couple of days back ... if i will scan thru xsane only 3% of the paper
will feed into the scanner then an error will occur...

its not actually the hardware is broken because we can use it for
photo-copying...
