For the SMP problem : 1- I don't have a lot of experience about kernel
programming or SMP locking BUT
2.1- I'd really like to learn both
AND 2.2- I've got an SMP system with a 2.4 kernel
AND 2.3- I study SMP at school (began yesterday)
so I think I should be efficient quite quickly...
About xojpanel: If you want, I can develop a GTK (GNOME ?) version
of xojpanel.
