Is the print queue name correct in the printing command? Try also to run
GIMP fronm the command line to see error messages of the printing
command on the console.

So "lp -s -dpsc1210 kfc2.jpg" did not cause any error message on your
console?
Can you post the output of the following commands:
lpstat -o
lpstat -p
lpstat -v
lpinfo -v
ps auxwww | grep hp
Can you also set the "LogLevel" to "debug" in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf,
restart CUPS, send the job again, and then observe what gets loggen in
/var/log/cups/error_log? Have also the toolbox (/usr/hplip/toolbox or
/usr/local/hplip/toolbox) running and observe the messages on the status
tab.

It appears the /var/log/cups/error_log continues to write all the time. In order to make it usable, I typed in lp -s dpsc1210 kfc2.jpg and waited until the clock turned over to 18:09 and hit "enter" . Then I copied only one minute of error_log. The hplip toobox errors out as I have version 3.5 of PyQt and toolbox requires version 3.8. Actually, it locks up after complaining about the version of PyQt. I think, you should install the newest PyQt, stop CUPS and HPLIP,
"killall -9 python", then restart both HPLIP and CUPS, and the queue
should start executing your jobs.
