This category houses the File Format Documentations for all formats that
fall under the scope of the ENIGMA project. This includes files used by
LateralGM, but primarily concerns the Game Maker File Formats.

Before attempting to read any of the formats documented here, it is
helpful to understand how to read them, the legal information, and other
information about them. This is all documented at Format
info and, unless otherwise noted, the formats
follow it as best as they can.

The major format that will be of most interest will be the GM
format, which covers the format of the files that
Game Maker stores your games in, usually with extensions GM81, GMK, GM6,
GMD, and GB1 for the backups.

We're still working on porting the following formats to the wiki (and
you're more than welcome to help):

Most, if not all of the format documentations were painstakingly
authored by User:IsmAvatar as part of the
LateralGM project, notwithstanding credit where necessary to those who
helped understand/correct some of the bytes.
