Secondary Developer Wanted

A secondary developer and project maintainer is desired for this project. If you like this project and would like to participate, please respond. I need a developer to monitor all project forums and help with any bugs as they come or features that we decide on. I require you to have experience in PHP and C or Shell. We will only use Korn/Bourne shells. C shells are great, but have security concerns and are less standardized. I also require that you have some type of instant messaging software for collaboration during development and before releases; Yahoo Messenger (berzerkel) or AIM (Idle Resonance) is preferred. You may respond or try to reach me directly via instant message to setup an IM interview.... read more

I NEED your input on multi-user authentication

This project is at a rather early crossroads. I need to decide how to implement multi-user authentication. Single-user authentication is already implemented for the upcoming 0.92 release, which should be released around midnight tonight (there has been a release every two days). Multi-user authentication can be implemented in a number of ways. We could write a C program to authenticate against /etc/passwd or /etc/shadow. We could maintain a program-specific user file with info about their /var/counters-like directory. We could completely break compatibility or only break compatibility with an option. USER INPUT IS NEEDED. Please offer your suggestions and desires for the future of this program.

Next Releases (0.91, 0.92)

The next two version numbers of HPECS will be to work on manual pages, a preliminary authentication system, filename change of eBay-misc.php, a few more options in the common.php file for greater flexibility, and possibly some interface adjustments and code clean-up. However, as of 0.9 code is mostly clean and sensical.
