What kind of game mechanics do you want in Howitzer Skirmish?
A single player game, or a multi player game?
If multi player, split-screen or networked?
Just a classic 1:1 show down between two battle units?
Please share your ideas for Howitzer Skirmish in this thread.

How about something similar to battle city, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_City_\(video_game)
The game idea could be the same, defend your home base and destroy all enemies. But because it's 3D the player can shoot over walls instead breaking them. Then there can be all kind of upgrades that gives you ramming powers and so on. For multi player Co-Op would be more fun then against other players.

      Dekki,
      Thanks for the suggestion.

      I think a defend-your-base-against-ai-enemy could work.
And maybe instead of a monolithic base, the base could contain fuel dumps, ammo dumps, etc, that could all be damaged by the enemy separately.
This game would stand or fall with the quality of the enemy AI probably.
But single player would circumvent the nightmare of having to keep multiple physics simulations in sync.

I tried the Battle City game by the way, in flash, it's a pretty hard game.

I'd like to see a defend-your-base against human players with up to 32 players. Two teams who fight for the win.

And for tactical reasons i'd prefer that you have to choose your equipment at startup (select between 3-5 different types of tanks, like: fast, but less firepower or slow, but you can blast several tanks with one hit) and can refill at your base.

But i'd love to see a fast seek and destroy mode, too
