#1 De-CVSed tarball

This really isn't a feature request, but I wish that
you could every-so-often release a de-CVSed (i.e.
without version info, the ",v" suffix) tarball of the
CVS tree. I ask because I'd like to contribute to
testing, but I'm not really up on CVS, so I can't get a
working source tree down to my Linux box.
